A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Abia state, Ambassador Chidike Ukauwa has hailed the emergence of comrade Adams Oshiomhole as the new national chairman of APC.
Ukauwa, who is a delegate in the ongong APC national convention, congratulated the former Edo state Governor, on his emergence as the new national chairman of the governing APC, urging him to reconcile warring factions in the party so as to emerge victorious in the 2019 general elections.
Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, the immediate past Governor of Edo state was on Saturday, affirmed the new National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, at a convention held in Abuja.
His affirmation followed his emergence as an unopposed candidate for the position in line with the APC constitution.
Ukauwa described the former labour leader as a dogged fighter and courageous man, who will lead the party to victory in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
The APC chieftain, who made the commendation, in a statement issued by his media office in Abuja, and made available to newsmen in Umuahia, on Sunday said,”I have confidence on the ability of comrade Adams Oshiomhole to lead our great party,APC to victory in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
“He is a man of courage and integrity who have distinguished himself in any assignment bestowed on him. He should see his emergence as the new national chairman of the ruling APC, as a big task and reconcile aggrieved party members.”
