Abductors of APC campaign DG demand N200m ransom

The abductors of the Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Ovia Federal Constituency of Edo State, Mr. Monday Aighobhahi, have demanded the sum of N200 million.

Recall that unknown gunmen on Tuesday abducted Mr. Monday Aighobahi shortly after a campaign rally at Ofosu

The APC House of Reps candidate, Dennis Idahosa, who alleged political motive behind the abduction of his DG, told journalists in Benin City that the kidnappers contacted him directly shortly after he was abducted.

“Yes, they called around 9 pm last night and again called early this morning insisting on payment of N200m before they would release Aighobhahi.

“I am quite aware of the sinister motive of the people behind this but they have failed; the determination to liberate Ovia is not all about Idahosa, it is the resolve of the people and they cannot kill the will of the people,” he said.
