2019 elections: Yahaya Bello vows to deal with those arming Kogi youths

The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has vowed to deal decisively with anyone caught arming the youths to perpetuate evil and fuelling insecurity in the state.

He made the promise on Saturday in Kano in an address he delivered when the leadership of the Ebira sociocultural group, Ebira Peoples Association hosted him in the state.

According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed, on Sunday, Gov. Bello reiterated why his administration takes the issue of security of lives and property of Kogi State seriously adding that, he would not relent until those trying to retool enemies of the state are made to face the full wrath of the law.

The governor noted that he knew what security entailed, hence his decision to make it an utmost priority in his administration and appealed for the support of his kinsmen and the entire state for progress to be achieved in that regard.

“It is our collective destiny to change the narratives about our society. We can collectively determine the prism by which we are judged by outsiders, the onus is on us to always show our good side at all times” he noted.

Governor Bello said 2019 election was crucial to the consolidation of the progress already made in the state and the country and called on all Ebira wherever they are to give their maximum support to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

He declared that electing President Muhammadu Buhari in this year’s election was important to the continued prosperity of Nigeria and Nigerians, and called for the support of Ebira Community for Governor Umar Ganduje of Kano State and other APC flag bearers.
