2019 election: Jonathan’s ex-aide, Omokri attacks Tinubu, El-Rufai for promoting Buhari

Reno Omokri on Tuesday, blasted Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai for promoting President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term in office.

The former Presidential aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan said Buhari should not seek reelection because he has failed to accomplish his electoral promises to Nigeria.

Using an analogy, the former presidential aide wondered how a man who could not satisfy his wife when he was young would meet up at old age.

In a tweet via his Twitter handle, Omokri wrote: “Since many of those promoting Buhari’s 2nd term, like Tinubu and @elrufai, have young, active wives, do permit me to use an analogy they will understand. If a man could not satisfy his wife when he was young, is it now that he is old that he will satisfy her in the other room?

“In 2015, Buhari promised to hit the ground running. Instead, he hit the ground blaming. He blamed past governments. He blamed Nigerians. He blamed friends and enemies. When he ran out of human beings to blame, he faced animals, and blamed rats for chasing him out of his office.

“One of the great fallacies in the world is thinking that wisdom comes with age. So untrue! For the vast majority of people, age comes alone. The number of old people who campaigned for Buhari, despite going through his disastrous military regime of 1983-85, is proof.”
